  • Achieved the following qualifications during training in Nair Hospital, Mumbai
  • MBBS,MD, DNB, MNAMS

In United Kingdom ( 2001-2009)

  • In 2001, I went to UK to pursue further superspeciality training and worked in tertiary centres for 8 years.
  • MRCP and super-speciality training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology (CCST, accredited by JRPTB, UK).
  • 2007- Fellowship in Liver transplantation at Queen Elizabeth hospital in Birmingham for a year.
  • 2009- Awarded the Joint Advisory Group (JAG-UK, Royal College of physicians, accreditation for all endoscopic (diagnostic and therapeutic) procedures including OGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and double balloon enteroscopy (DBE)

Back to India (2010 onwards)

  • Set up the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Sevenhills hospital and worked there for 2 years.
  • May 2012 to Feb 2014-Attached to Kokilaben Dhirubai Ambani Hospital. During this period I was the Lead Hepatologist and further developed the Endoscopy department to provide diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), ERCP and Capsule endoscopy , besides therapeutic upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy

Achievements

  • Editorial board of World Journal Gastrointestinal and Pharmacology and Therapeutics
  • Represent the Acute liver Failure Sub-Committee for Zonal Transplant co-ordination Centre (ZTCC), Mumbai.
  • I have several publications (articles, abstracts, case reports, and chapters in national and international indexed journals as well as numerous presentations at international meetings.

Due to my special interest and commitment to the field of Hepatology and Liver Transplant,

Ansh Liver Clinic "Prevention to cure" has been initiated. The Liver Clinic is committed to expanding the service of Hepatology to help with prevention and treatment of patients with complex liver disease. The aim is to provide all outpatient services related to liver disease under one roof , with multi disciplinary team approach.
